Battery Buying Guide

Choose a battery that fits.

Start with your system’s specifications, then compare capacity and practical riding needs.

1. Match the system voltage

Check the motor controller’s required battery voltage. A 24V and a 36V pack are not interchangeable simply because the connector fits. If you are unsure, send a clear photo of the controller and existing battery label to our team.

2. Compare capacity at the same voltage

Capacity is shown in ampere-hours (Ah). Nominal stored energy in watt-hours is approximately voltage multiplied by Ah. For example, 24V × 13Ah is about 312Wh. A higher-capacity pack at the same voltage can store more energy, but actual range depends on the system and riding conditions.

3. Treat mileage as an estimate

Our e-cycle range figures apply only with a compatible 250W hub motor. Rider and load weight, hills, speed, tyre pressure, assistance level and weather can affect distance per charge.

4. Confirm current, charger and connector

The controller’s current requirement must suit the battery and BMS. Use the correct charger for the exact battery chemistry and voltage configuration. Confirm connector type, polarity and mounting space before purchase.

5. Check what is included

Our shop’s e-cycle listings are battery-only. Chargers, conversion kits and boxes are separately priced. All listed prices include 18% GST, with the breakup shown at checkout.

6. Keep warranty records

E-cycle Value Series batteries include a 1-year warranty, subject to written terms. Keep the invoice, serial number and supplied instructions.
